    Cleaning Fuel Injectors OFF-Car...

Does anyone know of some thourough methods of cleaning up/out fuel injectors out of the car?

I have an extra set of stock ones laying around that I want to clean up real good, and replace mine b/c i know my current ones are clogged some. and leaky.

    o-rings will be replaced too.

Can i soak them in anything? Seafoam? Injector cleaner?
or could i hook them up to a junkyard fuel pump and striahgt up pump cleaner through them?

    Any suggestions or ideas??

    Thanks alot.

you aren't going to be able clean them very well yourself. the best thing to do is ship them off to http://www.cruzinperformance.com/, they will come back in brand-new condition.

Notice: In order to devote time and assistance to the family of my long-time dear friend, Les Osborn, who suddenly and unexpectedly passed away 10/1/06, I am not accepting any more injectors for service until further notice. I'm sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause. Thank you for your understanding.
      its sad to hear,

but thats still a 70 dollar service, id like to save as much as i can, as im broke right now. im not looking for like-brand new, but id definately like an improvement..

          is this an effective method??

how is Brake Cleaner on fuel injectors, does is harm anything?

considering dirty injectors at 0%, and professional cleaning at 100%, where do you think this would rate?

(also, has anyone used these guys? http://www.witchhunter.com/injectorserv1.php4
and would this be worth the 90 dollar service?)

Really don't know how to rate it as far as a percentage. I think if you're leery of brake cleaner, which I think is ok, you could use something like Gum out carb cleaner I suppose. It seems to work ok though.

I haven't used witchhunter personally, but back when I had my MR2 seems like everyone on the MR2 Owners Club used them with great results.

If you want references, log on to www.mr2oc.com and read around. I think you'll have to register though.

i think im gonna cough the money up, and deal with it, just so i dont have to worry about dirty injectors for another couple years, and ill just start buying better gas.. with an occasionaly in tank cleaner...

                  thanks everyone.

you won't be dissapointed. to bad the other guy isn't doing them right now, as it's cheaper and his service was excellent.
