uk sport close ratio gearbox. was this avalable in the US?

the reason im asking is because i was reading a previous thread about the differences between a normal u.s spec 325i and a 325is. i noticed most the changes were cosmetec.

did it never come with the close ratio box?

not here, not unless somebody paid out the nose for a custom option.

no. just the standard gate. the dog leg was even rarer! none existant over in the uk.

- What are the ratios in the UK Sport gearbox / transmission? (NON-dogleg)
- What diff ratio goes w/ it? 3.25?
