    Vibration under acceleration

I have a vibration, kind of feels like wheel hop, while accelerating full throttle at the top half of 1st and beggining of 2nd gear. I have a new guibo and CSB. Everything is tight. Good e46 m3 shock mounts. Good bilstein sports/H&R sports. Straight/balanced bottle caps with new Azenis RT615 tires (vibrated with other wheels/tires too).

I'm afraid it the rear subframe bushings, is there any easy way to check these? i really don't want to have to replace them...

My other guess is the driveshaft, I kind of forced it out of the car to replace the CSB without removing the exhaust :loco: :loco: (it's a long story).
    Anyway, maybe I bent it?

    Thanks,

    Justin

Have you checked the driveshaft guide bushing? its pressed into the end near the flex disc.

I mentioned in my post the guibo and csb are brand new...

The bushing in the front of the driveshaft is old, but this problem is more of a sudden failure. The driveshaft feels very tight, I can barely move it in any direction. That's why I'm thinking I bent it or the rear subframe bushings commited suicide, or some other problem, like an axle...

You may have seized or nearly seized U-joints in the driveshaft too.

Thanks, I have a spare DS i'll swap in. Don't worn subframe bushings cause this as well though?

Sounds like my car before I replaced the driveshaft, flex disc, with all new nuts and bolts. Previously, any time I put my foot in it it I would hear the same noise. The U-Joints were shot.

BTW, we were unable to get the exhaust fully removed so we snaked out the old one and snaked in the new one.

Bad sub frame bushings make a loud clunk when you transition from on/off power and the cross member moves up and down hitting the body. They don't make it shake.
