IE strut bar and cruise cable

How do you guys with IE strut bars mount them with the interference of the actuator cable for the cruise? I think I finally got it by forcing the cable over the top of the bar- but, short of removing cruise, is there a better way to get it to fit without breaking it?

I had to do the same thing when I installed this weekend. I actaully broke the clip but it works still. I think this is the only way but you don't have to remove it just put it over the bar.

The bracket is bent on my 325is for my cruise to clear the sparco bar (same as ie).

yeah, I attempted the bent bracket trick last weekend and nearly killed myself in the process.... was testing the new cruise motor on the road - "hey- it works!! " then, tried to cancel the cruise... ("hey- I'm still accelerating!! :o ) . The only way to stop was to shut down the car at 70 mph. After I coasted to a controlled stop, figured something electrical had to reset and that everything was cool, so I restarted the car. Immediate REV to redline and I quickly switched the car off. Opened the hood- cable had bound up and didn't retract the way it should have due to the new approach angle it had from bending the bracket.

So, unbent the bracket and forced the cable over the bar... seems to work smooth now- just don't like the way it looks.

I bent mine about 1/4 of the way straight backwards to the firewall and it worked fine.
