i did a brief search but im going snowboarding tomorrow and need to get this done asap, i was driving on the highway when all of a sudden my e-brake, check engine, and a couple other lights just turned on, i look under the hood and the radiator fan isnt spinnging and i notice that the alternator belt is also missing, i asked the shop for a belt that goes over the alternator and fan im assuming its the same belt on the m42, but since there is no belt on there now i cant tell how to route the new belt onto the pulleys, also does the other belt have to come off?

it seems like i have two belts down on mine, im assuming for the A/C, is there some sort of idler or tensioner that can be loosen to get these belts off, i dont see how they are removed, on my old pontiac it was just a big ass wrench to move the tensioner and slip the belts on and off1991 318is --- currently not road worthy
