If it is an ETA then you do not want 4.10 gears in your diff. 3.73 would be nice with LS.

4.10 is going to be way too short of the ETA, I bet 1st gear will be useless....

I can get a S2.93 fairly cheap but it's too "long" for my purposes and would probably be good for an ETA.

1st gear in an auto does what, ~49mph? that wouldn't be so bad with a 4.10

you could do it but your fuel economy and highway driving would really suck.

              how would it perform?????

It would be great from stoplight to stoplight, but that's about it. It would be almost impossible to tolerate on the highway because of the high revs at relatively low speed.

Go with a 3.46 or a 3.73 max. 3.25 would be a good mild upgrade.

I personally really like my 2.93...gives me better traction, mileage and lower engine RPMS. Etas are fun DD, but they arent fast. You need a turbo or S50/s52 swap to impress me now..
