so don't use H1 100w bulbs in Euro Ellips also

(btw pre 88 Euro lights havn't that problem)
Wow, did they melt your high beams too? I was thinking about getting some euro ellips and already have some 130W H1s that I currently use as highs in my AutoOptiks housings...wouldn't want to melt an expensive housing though.
Plastic housings melt folks that is why there is a max wattage rating on the lights. The older Cibies and Hella and Bosch units are made of Glass and metal. The chrome will bake of due to over wattage bulbs but that will take time though.

That's what I try to explain thx Greg
If you want more and better light go for an good HID kit, maybe expensive in purchase but cheaper as a pair Euro Ellips by your dealer and hell more bright white light
