Lowering Springs, means changing to shorter shocks?

Question, if you lower your car in the front via springs, is it a must that you also change the shorter struts-or-will the stock BOGES be fine.

I have heard different opinions.....some say they have changed springs without any other mods, some change to shorter struts.

    What have you folks done?

yes you have to change them, unless you want to bottom out all the time and blow your shocks.

in addition to being shorter, lowering springs are usually stiffer than factory springs. OEM shocks won't be able to properly control them, your handling will suck (bouncy bouncy) and they won't last too long.. not unless the roads you drive on are like glass, but I don't know of too many places in the states like that.

if you still have the original shocks in your car, chances are they are blown anyway. I know the front shocks in my car with 140k were blown.

I have bav auto lowering springs, and bilsteiin touring struts up front with Monroe sensatrac shocks in the rear, lol. Don't make fun of me, I'm poor.
The car actually handles well and I have put about 14,000 miles on this set up and the shocks all around are still good. The car is almost solid if you try to jounce it,and it doesn't bounce at all.
