Trunk tool kit - what can you fix?

Exactly what did bmw have in mind to be able to fix with *just* the trunk tool kit?

I removed my oil level sensor with the 10 mil wrench when all my tools were at a different location to clean it. I have fixed a few blown charge pipes before as well with the screwdriver. My parts car came with a trunk full of tools as well... that was a good find.

My e28 tookit rocks. Everything on an e30 that would be possible to fix on the side of the road can be addressed with this kit.

You can fix anything with the trunk tools.
A few times I went to the junkyard to pull some parts, but realized I forgot my tools. I had to use only my trunk toolkit to pull rear swaybars, foglights, interior pieces...

ya I put the larger e34 style kit in my car, and do a ton. But the old e28 and e24 kits are the largest.

I adjust my shocks with my tool kit pliers. I've also pulled my rear shocks off w/ the wrenches.

if you don't have a clutch fan, I think it's enough to do a water pump and timing belt..

Fixed my blown altenator belts with the bmw glovebox flashlight my shoelaces and the tool box in the rear.

Given the state of most e30 tool kits, adjust anything that needs a 13mm wrench, line up a wheel, and spend half an hour trying to figure out what the hell goes in the spot for the convertible socket.

I restored my entire monte carlo from the ground up with my e30 trunk tool kit!

all i ever use from my toolkit is the screwdriver, not much else is there,

and now my screwdriver is lost somewhere..

You need a 3mm hex key to remove the rotor, 5mm hex for the reference sensor, 13mm socket on a 2"-3" extension to remove the crank pulley bolts. You could probably fake the 22mm wrench to turn the crank and 32mm flat wrench for the fan with the slip-joint pliers.
