haha, that would be funny... everyone would look at the "old bimmer that's smoking like crazy"...
I will try this on m E28 before I swap out the motor, I bet it helps a lot.

I'd recommend doing it beforehand, lol. If you keep the RPMs at about 3-4k and run the whole can through there will be a LOT of smoke. Plus your car will run like shit for about 3-4 minutes as all of it is burned out.

*Mine continued to run for about 15-20 seconds after I took the keys out... kinda weird..

I ran this stuff through my E28... first can hardly smoked at all... so I did it again 2 hours later, and it smoked a ton. The throttle response is better, and the idle is actually a bit smoother.
I added a few oz. to the crankcase and the rockers and general noise of the engine was greatly reduced. I put a bit in the gas tank too and just let it do its magic on the fuel pump and injectors.
Highly reccomended! do it away from your neibhors though, they will probably get pissed off at you.

Pour about 1/4 or 1/2 can to the crank case.

this is probably a retarded question, but is the crank case the place where you pour oil? i never knew what that was called. if im wrong, what's the crank case? sorry for being stupid!

I'd say it's worth it. Just make sure you get two cans. And just follow my procedure above.

my m20 with 230k smoked like crazy - I did it after wasing my car in one of those car wash bays with a overhard single light at night - Ahhhhh...my car looked possesed. Then reved the hell out of the morot on the streets, and even more smoke, took it for 5 mile son the freeway, MORE smoke...

Of course my car was run for a good while witht he timing belt off a tooth or two(PO) - so I expected it to be preaty clogged up.

Car runs and feels much better. Cold running is smother - Idel is smoother - and I think I pick up a pony or two.

All you all need to do this - It actually works....

After you sucked it through, you let the car sit for 5-10 minutes right?

I have used this stuff from Amsoil in the E34, My M3 and other cars, it works great at cleaning out gunk and deposits.

                              http://www.amsoil.com/products/apf.html

It does smoke a LOT and smells bad! It was way funny when I dogged the SUV up the street billowing white smoke form the back!

amsoil products rule (I'm running their oil right now). How do you use that foaming product?
