    Urethane subframe bushing people

To those of you with urethane subframe bushings installed, do yours make any noises?

I installed mine about a month ago and when I back out of the garage, or start moving, I get a little bit of some creeking sounds. I tightened the friggin' hell out of the mounting bolts when the car was still on the jackstands, so I would think they are still tight. I also greased them as Powerflex described (not on the outside of the bushing, only on the inside to slide the metal sleve in).

    Anyone here with similar experiences?
    Thanks.

I didnt grease mine. Mine had bolts that were recessed into the bushing that when tightened down would compress the bushing to hold it into the subframe. They even recommended a 2-part epoxy to help hold the bushings to the subframe but I passed. I just slathered the threads with locktite and tightened them down till I could see an apparent deformation of the bushing. Then just mounted them up and no problems.

I was under the understanding that the trailing arm bushings were the ones that squeaked. that is why I just stuck with stock ones.
    Im now E30less.

they creak a little bit now that I have about 12k on them, but you can't hear it unless you're moving very slow and you have the windows all the way down. under normal driving conditions, I can't hear a thing.

actually, I'm not sure it's the subframe bushings that are squeaking, as all my bushings are poly. still, it's no big deal..

oh, when I put mine in, I didn't use any epoxy or anything on them. No locktite either, I just torqued them down to proper spec ;)

I have them, but my car is loud as hell as it is, so I don't really notice it.

no grease, no noise. mine are torqued to all hell, most likely beyond spec.. I also torqued mine with the car holding its own weight so it was correctly settled

Ok, that describes what I'm hearing, going slowly over bumps.
My Powerflex C.A. bushings squeeked a little when they were new, but eventually stopped. The only rubber I've got left on my suspension is the T.A. bushings...and that is only because a company I ordered from repeatedly screwed up the shipping.
