One way to relieve fuel pressure would be to pull the pump relay or fuse while it's running, it will die in a few seconds, and most of the pressure will be relieved. Just use a rag to catch the excess when you open the line.
The clips are kind of a pain, I used a snap on pic to remove my clips, I would reccommend you get a set. You can also use a small screwdriver to pop out the little metal clip in the connector. Be careful not to break the plastic, or lose the metal clips.
Move anything that might be in the way, and unbolt the fuel rail and pry it up and slide it out.
you don't have to do it while it's running. just pull it out and crank the engine.
one way to make more room is to remove the valve cover.
I don't get why everyone has so much trouble with the injectors.. all you need is a bentley manual and basic mechanical ability. it's tight in there but not impossible!
not having trouble with the injectors... but if you read the bentley it does not state how to de-pressurize or how to remove the electrical connections from the injectors... i came here to ask those who have done it so i dont end up breaking something or dumping fuel all over my engine

Yeah its really a basic job. But removing the fuel rail is a PITA. It takes some patience (which of course I dont have). Just a little heads up, is before you remove your injectors, make sure there is no debris or crap around the injector hole. If you get anything in there or accidently rub against any debris or anything, it might clog your injectors. Oh yeah if you are installing larger injectors and have a 153 ECU, it will take a while for it to adapt.

yeah I should have mentioned something about that. make sure to clean that area out really well! You also have to be careful because you don't want that crud in your intake ports or getting on the valves. I cleaned out that area carefully with a rag and alcohol.
