    It's not the low RPM the M20 has problems with, it's making power at high RPM (again, damn 2V head). The amount of torque down low in the new M54 that you drove was the variable valve timing kicking in. Stroker M20's have STRONG bottom end torque.

      What about the, how did someone put it, "elastic throttle." For me, the throttle response is pretty sad below 3k. Of course, I forgot about variable cams.....that'd help to say the least. But non-Vanos still have better off idle response than M20.

      Regardless, 3.5k-6 on a M20 is fun. :twisted:

        That shit throttle response is the AFM. Drop that for a MAF and t-response will improve greatly.

          I don't wanna drop that much $$$ on a M20, so no to SMT6. But yes to M30AFM. :D

          So back on topic. Does anyone have an argument for stroker?
