    Temp fix for vacuum leak?

i need to replace my intake boot since i found some cracks that are starting to cause a slight leak. is there anything i can spray on or apply to the rubber boot to temporarily seal the cracks?

The glue on the tape wont hold for long with all the heat..
      Use silicone!

w3rd on the sillicone, I silliconed my boot a year ago with black high-temp stuff. I was tired of working on my car by summer last year, but I'm going to replace it pretty soon :P

clean it up with some alcohol and a rag, check for cracks and seal them all up, should hold easily long enough until your new one comes in the mail. ;)

thanks a bunch. after i posted the thread, i searched google and found some high-temp silicone that i thought would do the trick and was planning on asking about it in this thread, but no need to now :)
