Can someone please show me a diagram or tell me the location of the fuel pump relay?

I have searched and searched. People keep talking about the fuel pump relay, but no one talks about the location of the unit. I am only getting 3V of power when i turn my key and try and start the car.

    Thanks

pop the hood, on the side of the driver's side strut tower is a black plastic cover next to the air flow meter and air filter. Pop the cover off and inside are three relays, fuel pump is typically the middle one.

      I have a m52 swap. I am using an OBD1 E36 m3 harness. Same 3 fuses?

      Thanks!

eh, i thought mine was the furthest to the front.

they are, Fuel, O2 heater, Main.

maybe not in that particular order..

        do you have a bentley?

On a 90 325i the fuel pump relay is the middle relay of the three mounted on the driver's fender well.

Note that the relay is closed by the DME once it sees timing reference signals from the crank position sensor. So you won't see power to the pumps unles the engine is cranking over and the DME and timing reference sensor are operating. To test the pump you can jumper the contacts in the relay socket.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
