    525 ECU question

I pulled my ecu to check and make sure it was a 153 before I purchased a 173 and to my surprise it's a 525. So I suppose this is a newer ECU and hence is 1.3 motronic but i'm not sure. Can somebody give me the run down about them?

there is no big difference in E30 or E34 ECU's cause they're both M20 powered
(E34 till 1993 euro version) I'm running also the E34 ECU without troubles ( 381)
    Mot. 1.3

I know that the 5er's had M20's until 93, but my ecu # is actually 525.

        0-261-200-525 ECU's were found on later model E30 325i's and E34 525i's (M20). It's Motronic 1.3, pretty much the same thing as a 173 or 380 ECU.

That's what I was thought but just wanted to be clear. I thought it strange to find one in an '87 325is though.
