ALL Brake Lights are DEAD, Dangerous HELP!!!

    Hey guys,
I just got pulled over 30 minutes ago and got a fix it ticket for my brake lights. I checked all my fuses and my bulbs, nothing wrong. The check brake light is on, on the check panel. I think its' the brake light switch that is connected to the brake pedal. I took it out and i swear when i pushed it, it used to click, but doesnt' anymore, it still moves like a normal button, but it doesn't click anymore. I think this is the problem, but is there any other problems? PLEASES, i need to get this fixed because it's dangerous, if i dont i know i'm going to get rear ended by some stupid tail-gater. ANY ADVICE WILL HELP. THanks in advance.

just look under your dash where your brake pedal is. There should be a switch that closes when you press on your brakes.
