i have a small cordless one that i use for just about everything i do, makes things a little quicker, its only 100 lbft though, most of them that ive seen arent adjustable, you could always get a giant potentiometer to plug it into

i have a "Goodyear racing" 24v 1/2" impact gun i bought at pepboys for like $70. comes w/ one battery, charger, and a handful of impact sockets in common sizes. works damn well for changing tires at the track and some misc fasteners. i still use a torque wrench to finish the job

IR makes damn nice air tools

I have used several including makita, snap-on, IR, milwaukee and dewalt. Snap-on is way overpriced, I have heard that IR Li-Ion are amazing and I bought a makita. The best, most used tool in my box, period. I have the 14.4 and it has an electric brake and a LED on the front. The brake doesn't sound like much but it really makes a HUGE difference for speed. I couldn't be happier. The makita is the only one I have used with a brake but there are probably others. I use this thing for loosening and tightening almost everything that fits 8mm to 19mm. Variable speed control too. Buy one.

I have a Milwaukee 28v Cordless impact. I like it a lot. It's actually more powerful than my pneumatic impact, but I have a crummy compressor. I tore the whole front end off of a Jeep on one charge, and still had power to spare.
