What is the word on these headlights?

I saw these headlights on a friends E30 yesterday, though he hadn't hooked them up yet. He got them on Ebay, and I found another auction for them, they're around $50 for just low beams.

I don't know much about lighting. Realisticly, how much better are these than sealed beams? I can't afford a set of ellipsoids right now, but I'd like better lighting.

    TIA

DO you really want to buy from someone who spells it buyz?

Id guess the lenses are OK. The bulbs are junk.

I like how they say thier gas burns hotter than Xenon or halogen.
    Im now E30less.

Stu, give me about a month or so to pick up some Cibies and I'll give you my US ellips cheap. If you want a set, that is.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

Xarcon? theres a new one. Round lens are better why, less stone pitting due to shape of glass. OEM cut well by law they need to in order to sell as a replacement unit other wise they have to put for off road use only.

Another company that has learned how to market Taiwan or China to there advantage. Good luck to them.

The bulbs are absolute trash. I've been wondering about the quality of the reflector housings though. They don't look that bad.
