how to remove the diff mount ring from the alu cover?

Hi

I am prettifying the diff i just got, which has very heavy surface oxidation. I tried to remove the rubber mount, but only the rubber part had come out (all deteriorated) the metal ring however is deeply seized into the cover hole. I've been spraying the penetrant on it for some time now and used skrewdriver as a chizel on it with no apparent success.

How does one go about removing it?

hacksaw blade through the ring, bend ends towards center with pliers, pull

same procedure as luke did for his control arm lollipops. let me find it.
