No, just asking really, sorry if it came off that way, it just seems like you can't judge it when you haven't used it.

I've got an M42, the skidplate fits fine. Don't use those crappy "mounting screws" that are intended for it...instead get four of the nutserts for the E36 crossbrace.

I've ran over smaller/larger rocks (lots of those by my house), bumps, dips, garbage, random road debris, etc. It's saved me many times on my street-driven daily driver. So I would say that it works very well...

I got that one from Eurodepot awhile back. Had it on the car for a long time and it saved and oil pan or two in Italy and here in Illinois. Recently took it off for m50 swap.

isnt that just the oem/factory piece that covers back behind the pan. Both my e30 came with that.

Dude, that will not protect your oilpan at all. It mounts to the front subframe, and goes back to the body, so it sits underneath your bellhousing. It's sheet metal. It's not intended to protect your oilpan.

Sorry to dig this up from the dead, but does anyone have a PN handy for the late and early model cars?

                    Thanks,
                    Erick
