    Car is Bucking??

    Car is a 86 325eS
well, when you going along any gear usually around 1500-2200 rpms the car falls flat on it's face. It feels like it's flooding but if you keep on the gas and let it rev it'll pull it self out of it and work like a top but it revs super slow while doing this
any ideas.. i have a feeling it may be TPS AFM maybe...
i'm not sure help would be greatly appreaicated

Sounds like you are just lugging the engine. Choose a lower gear and the problem will disappear.

      newp, not luggin at all
eta's only lug below 1000 rpms
and it dosn't do it all the time only some times

      thanks thou

Perhaps the engine is misfiring under low rpm high load conditions. How are the plug wires, cap, rotor, plugs and plug gap?

          PROBLEM IS INTERMITENT!!!

if it was wires cap or rotors it would do it allllll the time

check AFM, or Speed Ref Sensor

              or the coolant temp sensor

i like that is a big problem on 86 es...i have it, and i see lot people that have this problem.

I does'nt solve it on my...(swap engie in 1 week so..)
What i think is the car does'nt suck is air on low speed. Or the fuel pump is defect.
Personnatly my fuel line leak so maybe its this. I will try to fix it today.

Normaly the repair book said yto check:

                  Fuel filter, pump ans line
                  Air filter, mass air flow
                  injection

s 1 check all filter, maybe a good injection cleaner... and after do a electronical check (mass air flow, pump and injinction)

Good luck...and said your solution. SO i will test on my car :P

One thing i have noticed is not only does it not do it all the time but if you can get above 2500rpms it stops doing it works a1 that and it's been hard as hell on gas lately
                    it's not the O2

I have this problem too and I have been diagnosing it for some time. For me I can elminite the immediate problem by disconnecting the O2 sensor. I replaced the O2 sensor but this did not fix it. I replaced the AFM to no avail. I replaced the TPS and FPR and the problem is still there. I replaced the Fuel filter and all the vacuum lines but no fix.

At this point I plan to get another ECU and swap it. It might be clogged fuel injectors but I'm not sure yet.

Try disconnecting your O2 for the hell of it.

                      Btw I have a 1987 325e.

                      Good luck!!

                        thanks nate
thats what i told the old man he said it didn't make sense to be the ECU when it's not doing all the time but do you think it could possibly be a faulty wire going to the ECU from the O2

Yea i'm still not really sure :)

But because I can disconnect the O2 sensor and it works I am led to believe that the problem is somewhere in that chain. I bought a new O2 sensor thinking that was the problem, wasted $80. :(

I'm still trying to find a cheap 027 ECU or someone who is willing to let me try theirs.

It might possibly be worn out injector O-rings.

if it was worn out injector O-rings the problem would be theree all the time
                              correct??
the problem is intermitient sp. as is car could work a-1 for 3 or for days then work like shit the next couple of hours then it's good again for maybe a week or a few more hours or sometime only a couple of minutes
