HELP - Difference in TPS...auto vs. man

anyone know the difference between the two? does it really matter which one is used? the manual is about half the price of the auto. thx

EDIT: N/M. Looks like the expensive auto one may be for the models with the selectable transmission modes.

I think the expensive one is for other than the standard auto tranny. The one that I pulled off of my track rat (which started life as an auto) was the same part as cheaper of the two TPS's that replaced it.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

yeah, that's about what i came up with. the standard auto/manual look like they share the same tps (square connector) but the selectable mode auto trannies look to have a round connector. i.e. the selectable mode auto's have a special tps.

no difference unless you have the 4HP-22 EH transmission, which uses a 6 pin variable TPS switch. 99% chance you don't have one of these either :p
