high beams only work on one side.

my low beams are working fine but when I turn on the high's my passenger side low beam turns off and the high doesnt come on. The result is both lights on the drivers side working but nothing on the pass side.

where should I start in the troubleshooting process? how do you diagnose a bad relay?

    318is btw

you have sealed beams right? it's burned out. replace with a new low beam.

no that's not it. I switched the bulbs left/right and the problem is the same.

Check your fuses? Left/right are on separate fuses for redundancy.

Fuses are fine. How do I test the relay?

The relay only controls the high and low beam circuits, not each side individually. You sure you don't have the high and low beam connectors swapped? I did that once. Semi similar situation.

hmm, pretty sure seeing as the connectors are different. Thanks for helping me rule out the relays.

If I remember correctly, the horn relay is the same part # as the hi-lo relay. Pull the horn relay (assuming your horn works) and try it in the hi-lo location to see if it works...
