Sorry to bump a really old thread but I'm having the exact same problem. I replaced the sealed beam, tried swapping the fuses nothing. Since the high beams on the one side work it shouldn't be the relay. Anyone have any ideas? This is preventing me from Getting my new car inspected and registered. 1985 318i. I'm sitting in the parking lot of anautoparts store trying to figure this out
