    Uneven front brakes

I noticed that my front right rim seem to be covered with brake dust faster than the left rim.
And the same wheel will tend to lock up first before the left wheel (since I'm not running ABS)

Is there any cure for this little brake symptom???'

    Appreciate if anyone can help..

p/s: If there's a previous thread on this that I have missed, please point me to the right direction. Tried searching (Brakes uneven) but can't find any relevent thread or maybe I didn't look hard enuf.

Sounds to me like you are running different pads on each side. Either that or one of your calipers is sticking or siezed.

Have you changed pads on one side and not the other?

I'm running same pads for both sides.
Put in at the same time...
Could be the caliper problem. If so, how do I overcome it???

BTW, I did the cable treatment on the rubber hoses...

... Ghetto fabulous. Cut all them shits off and buy some real stainless lines. I think that must be your problem. You've got a few too tight on one side that are constricting flow to the caliper.

I tried them our to see how effective this little brake mod can be and it did hold up pretty well... even after numerous laps in the Sepang F1 Circuit...

However, will jack up the car to check both sides.....
This may or may not be the problem. I tied them to just enuf to warpa around the rubber hose. no extra force when pulling the cable tie end.

              Holy fucking shit.

I saw a link to that nonsense about 6 months ago, you do realize that that garbage doesn't do anything, right?

The stainless steel braiding around SS lines doesn't prevent expansion of the line, it shields the plastic inner line from damage. What you did, well, is just stupid.

As for your brake issue, looks like you have a caliper sticking. Rebuild it, the kits cost like 7 bucks.

                Doesn't make a difference?
It does. it prevents the rubber hoses from expanding as rubber tends to soften when the brake fluid heats up... It makes sense, doesn't it???

There is a difference before and after... There no sign of brake fade unlike before I had teh cable ties in....

Of cos it's nothing like the Real McCoy. but for USD 3 for 1000pcs of cable ties, i'll do for the fun of it since my rubber hoses are in pretty good shape... However, I'll go for the Real McCoy when the rubber hoses are due for change...

Good condition rubber lines will not flex that much.

                    Maybe you're right...
But then it's a cheap mod and it helps on the brake feel.
