The axle ended up whipping around under the car and smacked the diff mounting ear and broke it off exactly like it is in the picture above. Then one of the bolts sticking out of the axle ended up snagging the e-brake cable which locked up that back wheel.
    All that happened going about 40-50mph.

    Happened to me too! Cept the E-brake cable snagging. Thats why I use locktite on my axle bolts now.

    Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

      eyagel: what are you going to do with that diff cover? I've got a friend that can weld aluminum really well and I can cut up a stock diff cover to get that fixed.
