E transmission on I egine

    E transmission on I egine

    Does a E manuel transmission will fit on a I engine? (e30)
    Or does the clutch can fit?

    tranny yes, clutch no. use the i clutch.

        Yes, they use the Getrag 260, however the bell housings are different as it one of the two lacks provisions for a sensor (someone please fill in the blanks).

          So, i have a 325e tranny, a 325i clutch will fit without problems ?

            You also need the 325i flywheel and throw out bearing I believe.

              the e trany has 2 sensors in the bell housing, but there is no reason you can't use an e trany on an i engine, just leave the sensors out.

                  Crank Position and Speed Reference, they got moved to the front of the engine for the M20B25's
