Yoko Avs es100 VS. Dunlop SP Sport 8000

I will probably be getting some Ronal LS wheels soon, and I need to know which tire to get along with them. The tires will be 225/50/15, and I can get them direct from Ronal mounted and balanced for the same price. Tirerack charges $17 more per tire for the Dunlops, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are the better tire. Which tire do you like more and why?

SP 8000 is a ZR rated tire correct? ES100 is only VR?

How often are you going to go in excess of 155mph? And the will be mounted and balanced when they get to you with the ES100's.

I'll never be going in excess of 155mph. They will both be mounted and balanced from Ronal for the price of $1100 shipped. Or I could buy them seperately and get them mounted myself. $370 shipped for the yokos and $430 shipped for the Dunlops from tirerack. Is $150 about the right price for a mounting and balancing of all 4 wheels? I've never had tires mounted and balanced before.

I have the yokos and I love them. Cheap, sticky, and relatively stiff sidewalls. Great bargain for the money.

I've never been a dunlop fan. The place I used to work was a dunlop dealer and I put a set on my 325 that I hate. The tread pattern is too aggressive for the rubber compounds they use so you get a lot of noise and some strage wear. The sidewalls felt way too soft too.

I'd say to get the Yokos you will LOVE them, no doubt ... Yours will last you much longer than some folks who are always trying to test the limits of adhesion and whatnot

A hundred and fifty to mount and balance tires? what drugs are they taking? I used to mount tires at NTB while attending school. $9.95 max a wheel. They are sniffing glue.

Ok, it looks like I'll probably just get the wheels from ronal and get the yokos from tirerack.

                    Thanks

Over in the great state of oregon if buy something from the tire rack and bring it to my store your gonna leave spending 80 plus dollars and I get it all the time. You may save a couple of bucks buying off the net but you aint gonna have shit for service(flats, rebalances, rotates. Buy wheels online buy your tires local find a local yoko dealer give me your zip and Ill tell you where to go. Believe it or not Jordan has bought two sets of tires from me instead of the internet. If thats not a tough sale I dont know what is :?
