    Yeah like Mossman says.....no reason to get rid of it.

    You are totally covered....its STAMPED right into the car's firewall where the hood seals. Really no worries.

            LOL at this thread. The dash is the least of worries to keep a VIN matching. Even though it's kinda a legal point too I think the VIN needs to be visible somewhere from the windshield, nobody's going to notice it's gone. I don't even know why anyway.

                              dude not a problem at all, if i can legalize a euro car which was made with no dash tag VIN, you surely won't have a problem
