    Something is loose

When I go over bumps, the car feels like something is loose and it makes a noise and I can feel it too. It feels like a rear shock mount went out or something because it is only on one side in the rear. The noise is coming from the right rear of the car.

I checked the rear shock mounts and both look to be in good condition.
I checked the RTABs and they all look okay but have seen better days (they're the same condition on both sides so I'm ruling that out)
Both subframe bushings look to be in same condition (measurements are the same but have not seen the bushing itself)
The car does make the same noise with and without being in gear (driving and coasting in neutral) so I'm ruling out the driveline.
I have taken the wheels off and switched to wheels without hubcentric rings (borbets to bottlecaps) and the noise still exists.

I'm running out of things to check and I have a feeling its a subframe bushing. Any other things to check before I just drop the subframe and really see what it is because we all know thats not fun.

    HALP! lol

    Sister's vagin?

Don't judge where the noise is coming from since I've never been right (wheel bearings, whatever)... check the nut on your front suspension as I had awful noise/looseness when it wasn't done up right (what holds the top of the strut).

Yeah, those were disconnected completely when I bought the car and I reattached them. I guess I could try to disconnect them and see if the noise still exists, that way I know if they're busted.

Really take a hard look at the upper shock guides ("shock mounts") Could be the shock itself too...Can the noise be reproduced by bouncing the car?

          Body panels?

Something gone flying in the trunk?

Thats a good place to start. They were probably disconneced for a reason and when attached could explain for a loose feeling as well. I am going to say take the end links loose again and see if the noise is gone.

GARAGE!:) I've got a little space heater. The only thing that sucks is that there is no ventilation if you want to stay warm, and if you remember my garage, there is barely enough room to walk, let alone paint something.

rear subframe bushing, a likely culprit. Mine are dying and doing the same thing, got IE urethanes waiting to go in when its not 0 degrees out.

Yeah, it turned out AWESOME!!! I painted the headlight grills, oil cooler grill, bumper trim. Notice the fadedness of the fan and "i" lip. The paint really brings out the contrast and makes everything look newer. Now I just need a d*mn hood and kidney.
