But back on the topic at hand...

What are the chances that my rear hubs are coming loose from the trailing arm? I haven't looked, but the thought crossed through my mind today when it was making those awful noises.

Have you checked to see if maybe the muffler/exhaust is rattling?

Wouldn't it have been easier to remove that bumper trim and do it the right way???

Yes, I am aware. I went about that method first. I took the bumper off and while I was doing that the clips for the turn signal pigtail broke off (plastic was dry rotted). Basically the entire thing disintegrated in my hand. I did not want that to happen to the front bumper trim because I'm too meticulous that if I break even 1 of them I'll be upset with myself. Don't worry, I did it the "right way." Everything was masked perfectly (took 2 hours just to tape). Thats fine with me because I didn't have anything else to do last night and I covered every inch that is ever going to be visible. I even slid the tape in between the tight groove between the trim and bumper. No sense in wasting paint on the inside or painting the clips

Nitro: I did check the muffler and it does appear to be making contact. I don't know how to check this while driving because the guy who put it on used pneumatic tools and I'm stuck in a garage with manual sockets. Guess I'll go back to him and see what he can do. I don't remember it making the noise before I had the exhaust put on.

As i was reading old threads earlier i saw the subframe bushing thread
and my drivers side is in need (much need) of replacement but i thought of this thread and thought i'd drop my 2 cents as well.
I understand the poly "street" bushings aren't too hard to install and about 80 or so clams , not too bad for a big improvement or so they say.
