how the hell do i get the guibo off

ok right now im fucking pissed, ive spent the last 3 hours getting the nuts and bolts off the guibo but it still wont come off it seems as tho there is some shit in between it, how do i get this thing off??? it would somethimes make this queaking thunking sound www.nickscoolcars.com/318problem.mpg you can see the video there, is this defenatly the guibo or could it be the center support bearing? it really only does it after i go through a corner real hard or zig zag and it doesnt do it in reverse, thanks

could be both, but if you're at the guibo you may as well swap out the center support bearing.

I can't recall any problems getting the guibo off, my biggest problem was loosening the bolts, but it sounds like you got that taken care of.

Since e30's don't have guibo's you are in luck. You are already done.

all 6 bolts are out of it?... unbolt the center support bearing, and drop the driveshaft down and off the transmission output flange, then remove the flex disc.

well i have some interesting news, a few hours ago when i felt up inside the heat shield to see how far the center support bering was, i encountered a rock, so i thought nothing of it and took the exaust and heat shield off. Then i noticed there were scatches in the drive shaft, so i think what must of happend is the rock caused those sounds. It would really only happen after i did a zig zag motion to initiate a drift so i think then the rock would go against the drive shaft and scrap against it then when i would go in reverse the rock would be knocked away because the drivveshaft would be spining the other way, does this sound logical?

oh dude. how'd you get the bolts off the flex disc and not drop the exhaust and heatshields ?

(now it all makes sense how you couldn't get it off)
