Car takes a few more cranks than usual to start.

Simple problem, when I turn the key it takes several more cranks to get the engine started. Sometimes I need to stop and retry the key, occasionally mutlitple times.

I would IM someone, but all you fools are asleep at 2AM. Weird.

Hmmm, if think the similar thing happened when my G20 battery was dying down, but there's been nothing to run down the battery.....hmmm

    Battery? Starter? what.....

Happens to me all the time too. It seems my car actually starts better in cold weather. However, if I have driven the car within the past hour it will start on the first crank.
Btw, aim isn't connecting for me.

My car does that, it will start up easy if you haven't driven it for a while (all night) or if you just drove it (less than 1 hour) but anything between that will just keep cranking and cranking...

I remember hearing discussions about this, I think it went down to some hard to reach fuel lines or something.

If anyone figure it out, tell me cause I wanna fix this too.

most likely it's either your alternator or your fuel filter. Good news is that you can replace these yourself with some a little bit of skill and the fuel filter is cheap. Bad news is if its your alternator then that equals $$$$. Do a starter draw test on your alternator. Also check your fuel pressure. I think the M20 is 42psi?????

I remember my fuel pressure was low, but my fuel filter is new.
                Alternator is fine.

That helps narrow it down, depending on the mileage of your car and the gas you run it could be your fuel pump. It usually goes out around 125K.

                    new pump too

I've already gone into this problem and tried to figure it out (a couple times), ended up with new parts, no money, and same problem.

I heard that happens when they wire a car bomb up to your alternator
