    Alternator is fine.
That helps narrow it down, depending on the mileage of your car and the gas you run it could be your fuel pump. It usually goes out around 125K.
    Well, I have 124K miles......

I'll note fuel filter, fuel pump, alternator.

So, before we go and tear up all the fuel system in the car, how's the battery?

C, I'm not tearing anything apart, just making a list of possible causes. Oh yeah, forgot battery for a sec.

If it's the injectors, pour a can of Sea Foam into your gas tank when it's nearing empty. It should clean them out well.

well, it might have been the injectors, because I did do that recently. But then again, the problem seems to have gone away, or at least reduced itself to where I don't notice as much.

I think another can of sea foam might not be a bad idea.

I need to replace my battery anyway too, it's from a modern 5 series and the hookups are on the wrong side. (previous owner) and the battery tray is gone. I need to have it tied down properly before I can participate in a DE. (as well as other things......)

After that, maybe fuel filter, just because.

If still an issue, check alternator, fuel pump.

For larger injectors it's normal, mine does samething too.

Replaced fuel filter other day and it got better, but best way to check if it has anything to do with fuel is, turn key on, do it twice for couple of seconds and fire it up. If it starts right up than you know what's the problem, it's something with fuel if it still takes long, then it could be your battery.

Check your altenator output, it should be putting out new 14Vs, if it's below 13V than your alternator might be going.
