i took my e30 to the mechanic because it has been having problems with the idle. It seems like it skipps and shakes a little, do not know what it may be, wires, timing, vacum... anyway i took it to him, charged me $450dlls, told me he fixed a vacum, replaced the O2 sensor and the issue is still there. I cant help but to feel like someone i just gave me a prostate exam with out my consent. :-?:(
i paid the guy and took my car, not going to argue on how $60 an hour totals 450 fir an O2 sensor and tightening of a hose... I'll just give him bad word of mouth.
But my big question is that:
I also asked him to do the Valves(have not learned how to use a feeler gauge yet) and he told me that the cam was to old and worn to be adjusted properly. WTF!? is this true?
the car has 164k on it and owned previously by an old lady, do not seem to have been beat on alot, but you never know.
can anyone shed some light on this? thanks
Brian
