How do I install this? It's shot on my car and the shop is quoting me $400 for parts and labor... trying to see if it's worth the time/money or not.

it's not the CPS. It's the reference sensor somewhere back near the bellhousing. If it was the CPS that would be an entirely different story.Rob - Hartford, CT

The CPS is not the problem. However on early eta cars (84 85 and some of 86 I believe), the CPS and crank ref sensor are located next to each other on the bellhousing... it's not like the sensor you see on a newer e30 that's located near the front of the engine.
