    what to do

    alright guys
ive got a question for yall
i dont make much money right now but i really wanna get a turbo or stroker
which would be the better bang for the buck?
also what are some cheaper upgrades that i can get now that will be compatible with one or the other?

    Thanks
    dont tell me to search

    Neither. Save your money.

You shouldn't really attempt either project unless you've got funds to back it up.

Cheaper upgrades... springs, shocks, SS brake lines... there's not much engine related that will be compatible.

Depends on what you like....cheapest would be a 2.7L stroker
which could get you 20-30 more rwhp and lots more torque.

Turbo will give you ALOT of power for the money, but that's if
          you like turbo's.

If you have limited funds then start with suspension, it's the best
mod in my book. 3.0L stroker is a close second but I enjoyed my
E30 very much with the new suspension and 2.0L engine.

autocross. EASILY the single biggest bang for the buck you will get, followed by track schools. Instead of modifying the car to fix driver inadequecies, learn to use the car as is to its fullest extent. You'll be suprised by how well an old cheap BMW will run, I know I was.

i really wanna do a stroker (and driving school definitely) how much time would i have to go without my car (average)?
how long did others take to do it?
if i do plan on doing this should i buy an SMT-6 since id just have to discard a chip after i stroke it?

                      WOW

Do you know how much a well done Stroker will run you??
And How much difference will it be from your 2.5l
I did the Stroker in one of my E30's and let me tell you ...It is expensive ...And i did most of it myself...
If i were to do it again ......Get the M50..Stronger and cheaper to do.....

If this is too expensive then the #1 best bang for the $$$$ is Nitrous....60 to 70hp shot will get you lots of fun...
Then if you get bored or sell the car, just take it out ....Sell it seperately and you don't loose a ton of money....

                      Just from experience....Not just talk....

I'm gonna be doin a stroker, but only because I really have all the pieces I need, I have a Super Eta bottom and I top all ready to go. To do an all out stroker, you'll need to remove the engine, and you may as well get an M50 if that's the case. m50's are so cheap anyway.
