Who has installed Pagid rear pads

I purchased a set of Pagid rear pads a few months ago. Two of us messed with getting them in there for a half an hour and decided it was impossible without clipping off the prongs that hold them in the piston. :curse: So now that they have worn down a little, they rattle like hell (clink clink clink over every bump).

So I convinced myself that neither of us were being very bright that day, and decided to order another set of Pagid pads. The damn things will NOT go in! Even using the outside pad that is a little worn down. :curse: :curse: :curse: I'm about to go apeshit on Bav. Auto.

I have put in some cheapo AutoZone pads before, with a little trouble, but got them in, but I swear these Pagids do not go in. It's like the engineers that designed them figured they would physically work, but didn't think about actually getting them in the caliper. :loco: My thought is that maybe they were made only for the Girling caliper, and not the ATE.

So for those of you that have them in the rear, do you have the Girling or ATE calipers?

you must be doing something wrong. I've taken mine out and put them back in several times with no issues.

Mine fit in easy.... Little tight on the rotor, but that was quickly solved.

Which calipers do you guys have? Also, are you running the replacement pads, not the sport?

          I think I'm retarded.

It never occured to me to remove the caliper guide pins. I'd never needed to do that before. I actually tried looking on the internet for a certain way to maneuver each pad in. I had been using a hammer and giant C-clamps and sh*t trying to force them in.

          ...dumbass.

Uh, yea man. Caliper guide pins all the way. They work themselves in just a bit, and totally block you from getting the caliper down.

Well, I had the caliper off, it's a pain to get at the mounting bolts, but that's how I'd always done it before.

Happen to know off hand what size allen wrench the guide pins use?
