Brake pedal goes to floor on first pump, but is good on second?

Just pulled the track car out of winter storage, and noticed the brake pedal goes down pretty far on the first pump. It still engages the brakes fine, but it happens way down near the floor. On the second pump (if I let go and immediately re-apply the brakes) it stops much higher. If I wait 5+ seconds then re-apply the brakes, back down to the floor the pedal goes. I can stop the car just fine, but that just doesn't seem right.

It's an 87 325is, 1/2 life Hawk HPS, stainless lines all around, new ATE fluid, all about 6 months ago. Brakes were fine for every track event last year, and it just sat for the past 3 months. Is this a booster or vacuum related problem, or whats the deal?

I drove the car for about an hour, problem never got worse or went away, and no leaks.

Excellent... "Braek". Can a mod change that?

Cool, what's the deal with the 25mm upgrade? Did a quick search, most of what I read is that it's useless for stock brakes. I like the way the car feels with OEM rotors/Hawk blues, so I don't really want to dump thousands of $$ that I don't have into something better.

The 25mm MC is too stiff with stock calipers. Not an upgrade IMO.

Yeah I just read a long ass thread about it, I'm staying stock. So I see the cars prior to 87 with ABS cost about $180, whereas the cars after 5/87 with ABS are about $260. I know Ill get screwed...

So what's the difference? I'd love to use the cheaper one if possible...

EDIT: Nevermind, bavauto has one for $179 and the other for $199. Since when the hell is bavauto the cheapest?

Um EDIT: I bought my 25mm MC from BMA Parts for $122 shipped, including the 5% SPECE30 discount code. PN 34 31 1 156 643. But stock prob works fine too.

Well, shit, if it's 2/3 the price....

Is it bolt on, no mods needed?
