Where could I acquire one? Is it a custom piece?
I only ask because I have to pull everything out of my car that's wiper related, essentially, to get to the motor and linkage I have to replace, so I figured if I was gonna do something now's the time to think about it.

It involves longer arms that come off the wiper motor and to the linkage to the arm, I dont know how much different in leghth they are but would sure like to fab one up as well, I think there stylin,Comment

i think that is the bonrath kit. if it is then it has a new drain cover for the drivers side so it doesnt have the wiper arm poping thru it anymore.

Perhaps you could retrofit a mono wiper from a Mercedes, I know some of the 124 body e420 mercedes had the mono wiper. Maybe you get it relatively cheap, and custom mount it with the appropriate size wiper.
