have you tested your coolant sensor at all?

there are a limited # of sensors that will make our cars run; the only ones that are related to mixture are the coolant temp, AFM and O2 sensor. you said you replaced the TPS but it could be adjusted improperly. basically you can eliminate each part of the system with a simple multimeter test.

do you have a bentley? all the tests for the sensors are in there. the bentley isn't perfect but it's a great reference for stuff like this.

I don't know about the best, but you can get it from amazon.com, ebay, etc.

I wouldn't readily suspect the "TPS" for much of anything, it doesn't do a whole lot on these cars. And it's also not exactly a Throttle Position Sensor, its an idle and WOT switch. Everything in between is dead space.

yes but if he is having trouble with idle, and that's the main function of the TPS... well. :)

I think the FPR is worth looking into as well

I expereince the same issue running 19lb yellow mustang injectors and M30 AFM. fix ended up being a EAT chip for 19lb injectors.

Try the fuel pressure reg trick first. IF not you might have to end up with the EAT chip.

Regarding the M30 AFM. Make sure you got good fuel pressure and a good pump. Otherwise you can run inot a lean condition under load at 4k rpm.

I sold my M30 AFM thinking it was the M30 faults... I believe now it was caused by a weak fuel pump... Wish I never sold the M30 AFM now... since I would love to try it again with the new pump.

well shit guys. im pretty sure my starter went to hell tonight. i put the m20 afm back in and it's been working fine all day. it even cold started once. then, i started it again, and hmm it's hard to explain, but it sounded like my car was skipping rpm's. got it started and ran well. a few hours later, i tried to start it. it gave about a half a second's effort, and nothing. a couple more tries, and then it would click and then nothing. i know it's not the battery. had to push start it, drive it home, and now it sits. i really need help guys, does this sound like my starter is bad? could the starter be causing all my bad luck? can i buy a bigger better one? or just stock? HELP

Well if you push started it, and the battery is OK, then yea, i'd say starter :p

What's an EAT chip? How much do they cost?

I have a lean condition under even a moderate load. Is there an easy way to test the fuel pressure? It seems like those gauges you can buy at Kragen is meant for hood up/driveway operation. I can't really put a load on the engine there.
