    ABS Removal

Hi Guys....I am a new member and I am currently building a dedicated track car and I wonder if anyone has any info on removing the anti lock braking system from the body shell of a 318is.... what master cylinder and pipe routing is used...
I have searched for a while now on this site, M42club, e30tech and more but to no avail
any help would be much appreciated...
    Andrew

The early 325s had the non abs MC, along with the early 318s.

Thanks for the fast reply....I wonder if the earlier cars used girling up front and it would be a no brain swap?
What year 325s are you talking about 1987 or earlier?

So many revisions throughout the years.... Early in this case refers to '84-'85 only.

Is there a lot of pipe bending and fabrication involved in swapping the mc's? or do the non-abs mc's just have fewer connections which are used by the non-abs lines allowing the lines and abs brain to be easily disconnected and removed?

Have you actually been able to trigger the ABS? I have only made mine trigger once in 50,000 miles of spirited driving...nothing like racetrack use, of course...but it has to be the least obtrusive ABS I have ever heard of.

I want the space that the "brain" takes up in the corner of the engine compartment, but yeah Ive only had the abs engage once as well.
