E30 Steering Rack Differences...

Help, please!

Is a steering rack from a 1988 325i (4 dr, non-airbag) different from a steering rack from a 1987 325es (of course, 2 dr and non-airbag)?

I cracked mine on my 325es, and someone I know only has one from the above specified 325i, will they link up, anyone know?

PLEASE DON'T TELL ME TO UPGRADE TO THE E36 RACK, I ALREADY GOT THIS OTHER RACK...
