Steering wheel sags to left or right after hard turns

So I have noticed this about my car, every time I take a hard turn my steering wheel wants to sag to that side, almost as if my steering rack slides to one side or the other when it’s pushed hard. It stays to the right most of the time and I have adjusted the steering wheel to be straight, but after hard left turns it sits to the left (while driving straight) until I turn to the right and it sticks straight. The alignment is all done (little camber from lowering it, but it drives straight)

I just don’t know the design of the e30 steering rack/linkage well enough to know what the problem might be.

if you staighten it by hand does the car track right or does it veer off some

if you mean, while im driving, do i straighten it by hand, it just turns as normal when turning your steering wheel. its kinda hard to explain but its really simple, like if i make a hard left turn its like something in the linkage or the steering rack stretches in that dirrection and the steering wheel now is tilted to the left and stays that way untill I make a hard right and stretch it back to that side.

Unless something is badly worn in the steering, if the wheel sticks to one side or the other after a hard turn the car should be turning in that direction.

I may have worded it wrong in my OP, the steering wheel is not sticking anywhere, its simply leaning to one side or the other when driving straight only after a hard turn in the dirrection the steering wheel is now leaning.

could be worn rack,tie rod ends, or just the curvature of the road.

I get at least one or two complaints a week about an alignment issue, but there is nothing wrong with the car. 9/10 times its the curvature in the road that causes a complaint.

What about the sub frames are they loose or wiped out bushings??

Yeah, I'd say it's bushings toasted somewhere. Check your rubber steering couple, just above the rack in the linkage. HOPEFULLY this is not all torn up, as that would be dangerous...

As for bushings, check control arm bushings too. When you say "lean", I assume you mean it stays turned to one side, not the actual position of the wheel relative to your body or the dash.

My GF's car did that and It was a loose steering rack. It was the weirdest thing I have ever experienced in a car. Fix it.
