    Worthwhile upgrade?

While my car has downtime I was thinking about installing an M3 rear sway bar, and M3 front pickup links. Would it be worth the money? I found a rear bar locally for $50. I know its not a big upgrade, but I want to get stiff GC's sooner or later (sooner) and I know you are supposed to tune with springs, not sways. Would I feel a difference with this stuff?

if you're getting stiff GCs later, dont bother with sways.

Two differant logics here, ride comfort with springs or turn in response with sways.

What are you looking for? You can acomplish a flat cornner with either or.

I don't think that the rates I would get with GC's would be absolutely stiff enough to run stock sways, but not soft enough to warrent something like ST sways. And the springs I have now would definately benefit from sways, so I am just wondering if the above mentioned setup is a decent upgrade.

I think you should shop around for another sway. $50 seems a bit steep (got mine for $30). I think it is worthwhile. If you can weld up new brackets and get the drop links for cheap, then you should do the front also. Either that or get a cabrio front bar (21mm).

Well on s14.net one guy wanted $150 for the bar and the links, and another guy wanted $75 for the bar  I don't know where to find one cheaper.

I simply dont think they would be a huge upgrade over stock, and any improvement would be overshadowed once you got a properly set up GC er, setup

Generally, you tune with sways, not springs.

I would just wait and put on the G-C's first. You'll see that even with soft springs on that kit, it drastically reduces body roll. I installed ST bars later on and really just improved turning response and only slightly improved body roll over the stock bars.
