Sean, in need of 15mm spacers?? What do you know? I have some never-used ones I want to get off my hands. Check my sig for the link to my FS thread.

I run 205s at 33offset and theres NO way a wider tire would fit without spacers and not rub the strut.

      Sold it.

How much extra weight will these spacers add, and will I need new lugnuts? Also, aren't spacers a little "questionable". Or, are they really nothin to worry about?

I can weigh them, but i think they are like 1-2 lbs a piece....
I don't have the longer lugnuts, but you can find them for http://www.turnermotorsports.com

Majority of spacers are very trustworthy, the key is to find hubcentric spacers. But i have H&R hubcentric spacers.....pretty much the best there is. If you thinking spacers, think H&R. anyway......

Ask whoever has spacers on the board. A lot of people use them and they are really nothing to worry about. I think Alex the guy with the Black AutoXing car on Koseis, and Jordan as well.

So what is the definitive deal with running a 225/45/16 tire on a 7 inch rim. I am not concerned about spacing, but am concerned with the tire being too wide for the rim for track duty. Is this a reasonable concern, or am I just full of BS?

Hmm, I guess an extra 1-2 lbs each isn't too bad.

Now I'm thinkin of just getting some ASA JS1's, but they don't look the "best" but they have grown on me lately...

The 225 sizes for a 16 inch rim don't have the biggest selection, I was thinkin either 225/45-16 or 225/40-16 and the 45 has a bigger selection.

I'm so lost as to what to do, not sure if I wnat to pay an extra $170 just so the Borbet C's can work on my car. If I don't get C's or JS1's, then what should I get? :?:

I'm using 1/4 spacers and the fenders were rolled also.

I've used 225/50/15 and 225/45/16 on stock car with no problems at all with Eibach Pro Kit. 225/45/16 is closer to stock in size.

I've also autocrossed 245/45/16 Kumho Victoracers with 16x7.5 rims on an eta car with stock suspension and 1/4 spacers with no rubbing. It might rub in the rear on newer body style as the fenders are a bit lower.
Hey. What's the widest tire that can be fit under a late model rear arch without anything more than flattening the inner fender lip? (No rolling the outside fender outwards?) .... talking about R compounds, so wider.

                  Would you say 225s?

I know 245s on Bryson's 5-lugger (which could probably be done on a custom wheel or Kosei spaced/offset right), but those were street tires. . .

Need to find offset calculator and see what 8" wheel would be positioned like a 15x7 ET25 wheel....

                  would it be 15x8 ET25? or just go with Kosei's ET22? or ET32 with 5 or 6mm spacer to 27 or 26. . . . .
what would be the minimum offset to clear the strut with a 225 race tire?
