    325ic milage?

I am running on 92 octane gas & getting 180 miles from a tank if I am lucky on all stop & go traffic city driving. I got an average of 25mpg highway on my 1900 mile drive here from L.A. correct me if I am wrong but this sucks right? (the city milage) The car has always been serviced, has 56k and is literally like new. It had a complete tune up (plugs, rotor, cap, oil, & fuel filter etc 3 days before I left L.A. (May 16th) I ran two medium bottles of Techron through it on the trip to clean the injectors because I figured Mom had never done anything like that. Is awful city milage normal? I seem to recall my Dad complaining it never got great city milage. Any ideas?

    Thanks

don't stomp on the gas at every light, turn a/c off, change air filter?? thats all i can think of at the moment.

New filters, no AC (raining & cold here) get of the gas??? AAAAUUUGGGGHHHHH!!

but seriously I am in a provincial city of 1,000,000 usually bumper to bumper on cobblestone streets so it's hard to stomp on it ALL the time (not that I don't try)

I have a K&N going to my box in Laredo (things getting full)!

          Thanks

I too, have a 325ic. I think I get about 190-200 miles on a tank. You have to remember we have smaller gas tanks than the rest of the e30's. The e30 convertibles just seem to get bad gas mileage.

Must be that extra weight making it stiffer since it has no roof. I just wanted to see if mine was bad or normal.

              Thanks

180 per tank with a m20b25 isn't too good; you must driver her hard.

The convertibles have like a 10-12 gallon tank.

Nope not that hard like I said it's impossible to go too far too fast there is too much traffic, too many road obstructions (pedestrians, bicycles, taxis, combis (vw buses on crack being used as buses) street vendors, dogs, donkeys, horses, chickens, goats, (need I go on)

I believe it's around 12.5 or so. I have the same size tank in my 318 (but I get 350 miles per tank :D )

a bad o2 sensor will cause poor fuel economy, same with a plugged cat, is your car an auto? if so that doesn't help.

New o2 sensor 16 months ago, would the cat get plugged in 56k running only on premium brands & gas? Yep it's an auto Mom couldn't have driven a stick if her life depended on it (only thing I don't love about the car)

I get about 330 miles on a tank of gas or roughly 27mpg in my 318iC. Thats a combination of city and freeway driving. I have achieved 29 mpg on a long distance drive and as little as 25 mpg in all stop and go driving. However compared to the 318is that sucks as I understand they get up to of 31 mpg.

I got 350 per tank on my trip from L.A. I thought it had a 14 gallon tank, at 12.5 it's 28mpg which is better14.4 in town which I still think stinks, same as my V6 Tundra :( Maybe it doesn't like Pemex.
