you need a big compressor to do sand blasting
a small single stage one would be a waste of time for sand blasting....

E30gumball is what happened to the m20 project. 4 sets of the pistons got lost in the mail supposedly, so I said screw it. I've sold off most my bits, but still have the block left and picked up a 323i head so maybe some day I'll do a minor stroker build./ But so far I'm very glad I went the m30 route.

I know he was banned here but did you ever recover cash from him? Or post feedback back on the UK boards?

Well the first set of pistons he sent were 323i pistons, so he told me to keep and sell or whatever. So I sold them and made my money back. He said he'd send me another set but again threw the same company that lost the other 4. It won't do any good leaving him feedback on the euro boards as no one over there with deal with him any ways. I've meesenged him multiple times on MSN when he had been online and get no reply. I just plain don't want to deal with him any more.

Sorry to hear that. it's sad that I found my proper piston all beat up by my daughter.

Like I said I think I'll be much happier with the M30. I may be buying a Euro e30 320 soon, so I'm debating which car to stick the m30 in

the Euro car..... No big decision there. Why due to chassis is just lighter.

I may just, it would be a better canidate as it needs LOTS of work anyways, It has no rust at all the but the passenger fender is dented, driver's door needs replaced(door included), No interior, dented rear bumper, no front bumper, Runs good, but need new rear wheel cylinders. Oh it's Henna Red also  I'm thinking completly gutted car with a roll bar and the M30 engine. I should be selling my 85 318i this weekend then I'll be picking up this euro car Early August if all goes as planned.

I think you need to button down a plan of attck her and then start to work on final goal.

Ya it will be rolled into the garage for a complete tear down and cleaning, I'll pull the engine and tranny and clean the engine bay spotless, then reinstall the engine and get the car in driveable shape and drive it till the m30 is ready to go in or whatever. Only thing is my 88 has so many mods on it, but it has so many miles also. And Yesterday on our tail of the dragon run it started burning oil.
