    Wiper problem

I ran a quick search, but nothing really similar to my problem came up. I would dig harder, but I have finals tomorrow and Wednesday.

I recently replaced my wipers with some Michelin dealies from WalMart, not the cheapest of the bunch, but also not the fancy RainX or Bosch Icons. Fast forward to today, the first time I use them.

Today I'm driving back to school after Mothers day, and it's raining. I realize my drivers side was parked a little high from me installing them, so I got out and pushed it down a little bit as to make it not go off the side of the windshield.

I continue driving and the drivers side wiper keeps parking itself a little higher upon each sweep, until it'd be off the windshield completely, then get caught by the wind, fly off, come back on and park halfway up the windshield.

I had to stop on the side of the highway at least 5 times to reposition the wiper because it was pouring and I had to use them.

So, what's wrong with my wipers? Or should I say drivers side wiper, because my passenger side wiper was fine...

    Thanks guys.

the nut is probably just loose, flip open the plastic cover at the base of the wiper arm, loosen the 13mm nut, reposition the arm, and tighten it down. pray you didn't strip the threads on the arm or worse, the motor.

same thing happened to me during a snow/ice storm - thank god for the tool kit in the trunk :p

Oh, wow, that seems easy enough. I'll let you know how it goes when I get a chance to fix it.

      Thanks!

i'll bet the arms are stripped. the aluminum is soft. get them off and clean the aluminum bits out of the motor spline and reattach.
